Current Focus

Jacob’s practice has been dedicated to assisting business owners with filing BP Oil Spill Claims for the past few years.  His uninterrupted focus has allowed him to gain immense knowledge of the settlement program and an understanding of how to successfully navigate the settlement program from start to finish.  Jacob personally works with CPAs and DHECC Claims Analysts on behalf of his clients, which allows him to stay on top of all aspects of his client’s claims.


Background

Jacob graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi in 2003, where he obtained a degree in Real Estate and received the Phi Delta Theta award of Academic Excellence.  He attended law school at Ole Miss, where he was an Officer of the Environmental Law Society.  While in law school, Jacob clerked for the Attorney General’s office and one of the country’s leading mass tort law firms.


Since joining Eastland Law, Jacob has recovered millions of dollars for his clients.  He has experience in litigating cases involving complex litigation and criminal defense.  His criminal defense experience ranges from high profile government bribery and fraud appeals to general habeas corpus petitions and DUIs.  Jacob has defended numerous civil and criminal RICO cases on behalf of high profile defendants.  He has also developed RICO theories for mass tort Plaintiff cases including a current case that was filed on behalf of seventy Mississippi dairy farmers.  Andrews vs. Dairy Farmers of America.  Jacob is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association.
